Got a crispy evergreen on your hands? I do. Here's an easy--and eco-friendly--way to get rid of it, while giving it a second life as mulch...Bring One for the Chipper. Many communities, and stores where trees were sold, offer free chipper events to transform trees to wood chips for use as ground cover. Bring One for the Chipper events are sponsored by the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation, here in my home state (find locations here), but many other communities across the nation also offer this service. In the small town where I live, the mulch produced from the trees is used in the parks and along the greenway...and that makes it even greener.
